The Pr.CCIT (MP & CG) region comprises 51 revenue Districts of Madhya Pradesh and 27 of Chhattisgarh. The main economic activities are, Mining mainly coal, iron ore etc and manufacturing activity of steel, cement, agro-based products etc, mostly located around Raipur, Indore, Bhopal, & Bhilai. The population of MP is 7.84 Cr and that of CG is 2.56 Cr approximately.
